Getting there

20 minby car from Newark Liberty (EWR); also LGA 35 min, JFK 45 min

NJ TRANSIT runs its Meadowlands Rail Service for events above 50,000, and trains leave Secaucus Junction for the stadium station in about 10 minutes, delivering fans at the MetLife and Verizon gates. Coach USA's 351 Meadowlands Express buses run from the Port Authority Bus Terminal starting 2.5 hours before kickoff and for about an hour after the game, using Lot K. Fans without a permit can also park at the Edison ParkFast lot at Secaucus Junction and take the rail line in.

Parking

NFL game days require a pre-paid permit for every vehicle entering the Sports Complex, sold as Gold or Platinum through the NFL Ticket Exchange, and the lot number on it is informational only. Without a permit you can use the off-site lot at 20 Murray Hill Parkway for $65 and ride a shuttle to Lot G. Taxi and ride-hail drop-offs are in the area between Lots D and E, and charter buses use Lot L.

Tailgating

Tailgating is allowed in nearly all complex lots, as long as you stay inside your own lined space and the area just in front of or behind it. Grills are fine but not in the parking decks, and deep fryers, open fires and tents bigger than 8 by 8 feet are not allowed. Sound systems must stay under 65 decibels, and Giants and Jets fans can drop into the Bud Light Beer Garden in Lot F.

Where to sit

MetLife has no roof, so every seat is exposed to the weather; the exterior lighting glows blue for Giants games and green for Jets games. The stadium has five hospitality clubs and more than 200 suites on four levels, and its football capacity is 82,500.
