Getting there

25 minby car from Minneapolis–Saint Paul / Wold–Chamberlain Field (MSP)

The Vikings point fans to Metro Transit light rail and buses, with the Blue and Green lines as the stadium's rail connections. Metro Transit sells an all-day pass for game-day bus trips, and SouthWest Transit and MVTA run game-day service from suburban stations in Chaska, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Shakopee and Burnsville. A dedicated skyway route links the parking ramps to the stadium.

Parking

Parking is mostly pre-paid through ParkWhiz, the team's official partner. Surface lots and ramps open six hours before kickoff, but not before 7 a.m., and close three hours after the game or at midnight, whichever is first. Premium permit ramps include the 511 ramp, 1010 ramp and Downtown East ramp. Fans on a budget can park at the suburban transit stations and ride in.

Tailgating

The Vikings sell tailgating passes only for the whole season, not for single games, because space is limited. Lots allow charcoal and propane grills and 8 x 8 foot tents, but ban open wood fires, deep fryers, kegs and glass, and vehicles must fit a 9 x 18 foot stall. Without a pass, the team runs a fan tailgate activation at Medtronic Plaza and the SPAM Tailgate on the Commons.
